Happy Monday! We have such a wonderful basket for you this week, featuring items from a few longtime friends of the CSA. Bob Haskell grew this week’s spring onions at his farm in Cottonwood. Bob is a longtime fixture of the Verde Valley Farmers’ Market in Camp Verde and he grows an incredible variety of produce on his small farm. We always count on Bob for early season onions, which should be stored in the refrigerator. Alice Tyson Sordahl has been supplying pecans from her home orchard for several years now, and they are absolutely delectable. Fresh pecans stored in the freezer are one of my favorite summer snacks. They don’t need to be kept cold, but they sure are refreshing that way! Willowbrook and Whipstone Farms are bringing the greens again this week with head lettuce, salad mix, and Swiss chard. But the purple daikon radish might steal the show this week with its beautiful coloring.

In Sedona this week, a construction project is beginning at Posse Grounds Park that may affect access to our distribution area. The parallel parking spots and gate by the upper baseball field may be blocked, so please enter through the lower gate if that is the case. Thanks for your understanding!

This is the last week that you have the option to sign up for a flower share. If you would like to receive Whipstone Farm’s gorgeous bouquets beginning next week, please send me an email. Check out the photo below to see another recent bouquet.

Have a fabulous week!
Meghan
