Continuing our bacon-themed menu, I made this last week and my husband and I ate a whole pound of green beans for dinner! The beans are juicy enough that you don’t need to add water.
1 lb. fresh string beans, cut into 1-inch lengths
6 slices bacon, chopped
1 – 2 tablespoon garlic, diced
1 medium onion, chopped
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
fresh ground pepper
Place all ingredients in crockpot. Stir. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours. If you have a large crockpot, you can double the recipe.
