Happy Labor Day! I hope that most of you are enjoying a day off resting or enjoying time with family or friends. Of course, our growers are still out in the fields today. There is no rest for farmers though, especially during the peak of the summer. Each day brings more planting, harvesting, weeding, pest control, washing, sorting, etc. for our hard-working farmers. I am so grateful for the incredible work they do to bring us what I believe is the most delicious produce around. There is no chance of buying such tender lettuce, such juicy ripe tomatoes, or such sweet crunchy carrots as those we receive each week from these dedicated growers. So let’s dedicate this Labor Day to Hope, Hilary, Shanti, Cory, and all of the other farmers that contribute to our CSA and to local food systems around the country.
Have a restful week!
Meghan
