Happy first week of summer! The weather finally seems to be catching up with the calendar and the temps are rising. The crops are starting to change as well. This week we add chioggia beets – known for their peppermint candy stripes inside – and salad turnips. Both make wonderful additions to salads when thinly sliced or are delicious roasted. The heat must be getting to me, because I can’t think of much more to say this week. Enjoy!
Have a terrific week!

Summer crops are coming soon!
Willowbrook Farm has planted sweet alyssum around the kale this year to attract beneficial insects that eat aphids and it’s working great. Organic farming at its finest!
Future salad mix.
Whipstone Farm got a beautiful new mural on their washing/packing shed.
