Lately I have been gushing about the abundance of produce and all the wonderful things that summer brings us. But I haven’t mentioned just how hard it can be to grow all this food! Whipstone Farm shined a light on the difficulties of farming last week by showing us the other abundant life out in those fields: pests. Insects, birds, and rodents can be a farmer’s worst nightmare. Luckily, we haven’t experienced any outright blights but don’t be surprised if you see a few holes one of these days.
Until the pests get ahead, enjoy the beautiful produce. It doesn’t get any better than this!
Best,
Meghan
