June 10, 2015

The growing season is in full force and the wonderful rains this week were a great help. If you feel like you need an extra challenge on top of using all the produce in your basket, check out the local farmer’s markets. They are overflowing with beautiful fruits and vegetables, some of which will be out of season before you know it. I have been busy this past week starting on my seasonal preserving kick. So far I’ve canned over a gallon of apricot jam and started ten pounds worth of sauerkraut in my fermenting crock. My father-in-law showed up with another three gallons of apricots last night, so I know what I will be doing for the next few days!

I am so excited that our flower share begins in only four weeks! If you are interested in signing up for the eight-week share, please email me. We originally limited the flower share to our members in Sedona, but we are now able to offer it to our Cornville shareholders if we can get a minimum of four to sign up. Those of you who have already signed up for the flower share can send your payment of $88 to the address at the bottom of this email, if you haven’t done so already.

In addition to the recipes I include in this email each week, I have also started posting some on our Facebook page. If you have any recipes you would like to submit, please send them to [email protected].

Best wishes,
Meghan
